Title: "A Simulation Tool Modelling Air Traffic Controllers' Behaviour Using the Operator Choice Model"

Presenter: Junhua Wang, ITEE

The Operator Choice Model (OCM) is used to model the behaviour of operators attending to complex tasks involving interdependent concurrent activities. An application of the OCM is being built for use in Air Traffic Control (ATC), by calibrating the probability and timing models against a series of experiments conducted with student subjects.

A simulation tool implementing OCM in the context of ATC is developed using the Monte Carlo approach to simulate the stochastic behaviour of operators. This seminar presents the development issues of this tool, including the used testing techniques, integration with other applications, and potential approaches to reuse this tool.
