Title: Generation investment project evaluation under carbon price uncertainty
Speaker: Ariel Liebman, ARC Centre for Complex Systems
Desrcription: This is a talk recently presented at the Energy Risk and Trading conference. It discussies a methodology for evaluating generation portfolios, both new and existing, in a post carbon permit trading environment. In particular, the model implements a 4 way correlation between carbon price, coal and gas price, and oil price. I will also discuss possible future extensions to the model to take into account renewable technology cost risk.
