Place: Room 421, GP South (Building 78)

Time: Tuesday 17th January, 12:00

Title: "Of Application Frameworks, GRN Simulations and Software Engineering"

Presenter: Daniel Bradley

Abstract:

This talk will describe the use and effectiveness of various software engineeringtechniques used while developing a cross-platform C++ application framework, and the gene regulatory network (GRN) simulations developed using it.

The first section will describe the framework and its capabilities, the second will discuss problems encountered developing and using cross-platform libraries, finally, the third section will discuss the software engineering practices used as well as reflect on those that should have been used.
